12:00 – They were once official landmarks in Saskatchewan, standing tall in the sky. Grain elevators could be found in almost every small town in the province. Now, many of them are past their prime, fire hazards and rodent collectors. Alvin Herman is a retired farmer from Milden and he is in the business of repurposing grain elevators. Alvin joins Gormley to tell us more about his company AMBT Solutions which deconstructs grain elevators and repurposes their wood for construction use and affordable housing projects.
