The extreme cold being experienced throughout southern Saskatchewan and most of the province has prompted school divisions to cancel or modify their school bus services for the day.
Regina Public Schools says all of its buses have been cancelled for the day. Schools will remain open despite the cancellations. Any absences are asked to be reported to school administration.
The Regina Catholic School Division has also announced all of its bus services have been cancelled for the day.
The Prairie Valley School Division say its buses will only be cancelled for the morning. Schools will remain open throughout the day and if the weather improves and the buses start up, they will operate this afternoon.
If the buses cannot operate this afternoon, parents will be notified by 1 p.m.
