One person is dead after a fire Thursday at an apartment building in Rosthern.
According to the RCMP, the fire call came in at about 9 a.m. When officers arrived, the apartment building was engulfed in flames.
Fire departments from Hague and Rosthern responded to the blaze.
The police media release said there was “one confirmed fatality so far.”
“All other residents from the building have been evacuated and escorted to a safe location,” the release added. “Some received medical assistance from EMS.”
The release didn’t include a cause of the fire.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service and the RCMP are continuing their investigation.
