A Regina man who hadn’t been seen in the city since Dec. 5 has been found dead by police in Salmon Arm, B.C.
On Dec. 11, Regina police asked the public for information that could assist them in locating 31-year-old Brook Balysky. Police said there wasn’t any evidence that Balysky had come to any harm, but his extended absence and his lack of contact with family was concerning.
In a release Tuesday, Regina police said they had been informed Dec. 12 by the Salmon Arm RCMP that the Mounties had found the body of a deceased man. He was subsequently identified as Balysky.
An investigation has been started by the B.C. Coroners Service, the RCMP and the Regina Police Service to determine the circumstances surrounding Balysky’s death.
His next of kin has been notified.
