'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Fog advisories remained in place for some areas of western Saskatchewan on Thursday.
The advisories were in place for the regions around Lloydminster, Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar, Wilkie, The Battlefords, Unity, Maidstone and St. Walburg.
Environment Canada said conditions were expected to improve throughout the day.
“Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero,” the advisories said. “If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.”
According to the Highway Hotline, as of 1:30 p.m., visibility was poor on a number of highways across southern Saskatchewan because of the fog.
