Officers with the Regina Police Service’s Drug Unit seized more than a kilogram of fentanyl during a raid Wednesday.
According to police, officers investigating drug trafficking in the city and surrounding area executed a search warrant in the Transcona area of Regina, where they arrested a 43-year-old man from Red Deer, Alta.
Police seized more than 1,025 grams of fentanyl, a loaded and sawed-off shotgun that was found to be stolen, and a “large sum” of cash.
The man is now facing several drug- and firearm-related charges, police said, and made an appearance Thursday before a provincial court judge.
