More people have been charged in connection with a number of recent break-ins at rural homes in communities around Regina.
Earlier this month, two men were charged. In a media release Tuesday, the RCMP said more charges have been filed against those men and others as well.
Seven people now face charges, including a 28-year-old man from Regina, a 31-year-old man from Regina, a 48-year-old Regina woman, a 38-year-old man from the Queen City, a 20-year-old man from the Little Black Bear First Nation, a 29-year-old man from Regina and a 38-year-old Regina man.
Police are still looking for those last two suspects.
“These charges mark a significant step in the ongoing investigation into recent thefts in the area, but they certainly aren’t the last,” Staff Sgt. Corey Niedzielski of the White Butte RCMP said in a release.
“We continue to work with our partners to locate those wanted on warrant, to continue investigation into area property thefts reported in the past few months and to reunite recovered items with their rightful owners.”
