A 92-year-old man is dead after a crash between a pickup truck and a semi Tuesday near Carnduff.
According to the RCMP, officers responded just after 4:15 p.m., to a collision at the intersection of Range Road 1331 and Township Road 20, approximately 10 kilometres south of Carnduff.
Police determined a pickup travelling north on Range Road 1331 and a semi heading east on Township Road 20 had collided.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His family has been notified of his death.
The 22-year-old man who was driving the semi was assessed by paramedics and didn’t report any injuries.
The roads were closed for about eight hours as police investigated the collision. According to the Mounties, the roads were “extremely poor and icy” at the time of the crash.
Carnduff is about 280 kilometres southeast of Regina.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
