Regina police say three girls — one 12-year-old and two under the age of 12 — were involved in a break-in Sunday at a restaurant on Albert Street.
In a media release Monday, police said they got a call just before 9:15 p.m., about a break-and-enter to a business in the 700 block of Albert. The caller described three young girls as potential suspects.
At the scene, officers found a broken window and a fire extinguisher that had been used to smash the window. They also determined that some alcohol had been consumed.
Police identified the three suspects, but two of them can’t be charged because they’re under the age of 12. A 12 year-old, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with break, enter and commit theft.
She was released on an undertaking to appear in Youth Court on March 6.
