Two 15-year-old boys were arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly vandalizing at least 18 vehicles near the University of Saskatchewan.
According to police, officers were called to the area after a report of someone vandalizing cars, and the two youths were found and arrested nearby.
“They were found to be in possession of bladed weapons,” police said in a statement. “A search of the area identified at least 18 vehicles with punctured tires; police believe there may be more.”
Both of the boys were charged with 18 counts of willful damage to property along with weapons charges.
“Police are encouraging residents in the area bordered by Saskatchewan Crescent East, College Drive, Cumberland Avenue South, and 14th Street East to inspect their vehicles for vandalism,” the police service added.
