Charges are pending against two people after a police investigation closed a section of the Yellowhead Highway for several hours early Wednesday.
For safety reasons, the RCMP closed Highway 16 in both directions at Waseca around 11 p.m.
Mounties arrested two people after deploying a spike belt to stop a vehicle which had fled from police.
The highway was reopened around 3 a.m. The RCMP said more information about the investigation would be released later Wednesday.
