SaskTel announced Wednesday that it would be waiving long-distance and texting fees in order to allow people to contact loved ones in Turkey and Syria.
The Crown corporation made the decision in the wake of a devastating earthquake that has taken the lives of more than 12,000 people in both countries.
The fees will be waived starting Thursday and won’t be collected again until Feb. 28.
