A 31-year-old Regina woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing Sunday night.
Samantha Patrie was to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Monday to answer to the charge.
According to police, officers responded at about 10:15 p.m., to an apartment building in the 4600 block of Fourth Avenue for a call about a woman with serious injuries. At the scene, police found a 26-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the chest.
The woman was taken to hospital, where her injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening. Police subsequently arrested and charged Patrie.
EDITOR’S NOTE: On Dec. 12, 2023, Patrie was sentenced to 1,024 days in jail after pleading guilty to aggravated assault and numerous breaches.
