Two women are facing charges after allegedly robbing a store and assaulting employees Sunday.
According to Regina police, officers were called just after noon to a business in the 900 block of Albert Street for a report that two females took merchandise from the store and assaulted employees.
Police found and arrested the suspects — a 17-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman — in the area. Police said that during their investigation, officers were told that the adult had threatened employees with a knife and swung a needle at them, and that the teen had physically assaulted an employee.
The 40-year-old was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and one count each of theft under $5,000 and resisting arrest. The teen was charged with assault, theft under $5,000 and resisting arrest.
They’re to appear in Regina Provincial Court on March 30.
