A speeding driver in Regina ended up with a second ticket recently after deciding to pull over to the left instead of to the right.
According to Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS), the driver was caught going 133 kilometres per hour in a 100 km/h zone. But when the police officer activated their emergency lights, the driver moved to the left and stopped near the centre median.
“This is not only illegal, it’s very dangerous for all involved,” CTSS said in a social media post. “You must pull to the right only. This driver was issued a second ticket for failure to move right.”
It’s important never to move to the left when approached by any emergency vehicles with lights or sirens activated, CTSS added.
