Winterblues Fest is happening in Regina Saturday, and the event features one of Canada’s rockers, Sass Jordan.
She’s known for her hits “Tell Somebody” and “So Hard.”
Jordan said it’s been a while since she last played in Saskatchewan, and her last performance in the province was in Saskatoon years ago.
“I’m actually looking forward to (it), because I really have not been in Saskatchewan that much, and it’s interesting because it has my name in it,” she said.
According to Jordan, she was excited when she was first approached by the festival.
“I love playing! Let’s do this,” she said.
Jordan said fans can expect great music and lots of fun.
“It’s just so that we can all connect, have fun, forget about the insanity that’s going around us right now just for an hour, and connect with strangers and people you don’t know, because you’re all enjoying the same energy, frequency and vibration,” she said.
Jordan is now starting to tour once again after releasing her recent album “Bitches Blues” last June.
She said that she hasn’t written much since the pandemic.
“I buckled down and stopped running,” Jordan said.
“My whole life has been about constant movement of travel and constant always on to the next thing, the next thing, the next thing.”
Jordan will be playing Saturday night at 9 p.m. at Darke Hall on College Avenue.
