The Regina police are asking for the public’s help finding a 23-year-old man who police allege was involved in a gun call Sunday.
According to police, officers were called at about 7:20 p.m., to a reported robbery at a business in the 5000 block of Fourth Avenue. Police said a man left the store with some merchandise and, when staff approached him, the suspect “became aggressive and destroyed the merchandise.” He also showed a gun to staff before taking off, police said.
The police have identified the man as 23-year-old Dana Jordan Wallace, who investigators said is in breach of conditions of release. Officers haven’t been able to find Wallace since the incident.
Wallace was described as standing about 6-foot-2 with a thin build, short black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including three dots under his left eye, an outline of the Regina skyline above “2005 Killer XI” on the back of his left hand, “SWK” on the back of this right hand above the cursive letters “Ilea,” and “GANGSTA” written vertically down his right forearm.
Police said he’s facing charges of assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon, and failure to comply with conditions of a release order.
The police are asking anyone who sees Wallace or knows of his whereabouts to call them at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
