The snow that fell in southern Saskatchewan over the weekend was having an impact on some highways Monday morning.
As of 9 a.m., travel wasn’t recommended on the Trans-Canada Highway from Rush Lake to Mortlach. That advisory was lifted just after 9:30 a.m.
According to the Highway Hotline, even though the advisory was lifted, the road was still covered in loose snow and slush and had icy and slippery sections.
Travel still wasn’t recommended on Highway 19 between Hodgeville and the intersection with the Trans-Canada, as well as other areas southeast of Swift Current.
The Hotline said winter driving conditions were in place for many of the highways in the southern portion of the province.
