A 36-year-old man was left with serious injuries after an armed home invasion on the Kawacatoose First Nation.
According to the RCMP, officers with the Punnichy detachment responded to the home late Wednesday evening.
“Initial investigation has determined three males with weapons, including a firearm, entered the residence with their faces covered and assaulted a 36-year-old male who was inside the house,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“Three males exited the residence and were last seen driving away in a grey vehicle in an unknown direction.”
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, the RCMP said, and the case remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the case was asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
