Thin Ice: close call after vehicle falls in at Sask. river crossing

With temperatures starting to warm up, ice conditions have become unpredictable and in some cases dangerous.

That was the case Friday evening when a vehicle plunged through the ice at the Carkboro river crossing north of Saskatoon.

The Highway Hotline is advising drivers that use Highway 784 to use a different route with flooding on boths sides of the South Saskatchewan River.
