Three weeks after spring officially hit Saskatchewan people are starting to see the mercury rise and snow melting.
On Monday, many were out enjoying the warmer weather riding their bikes, walking and jogging.
More wildlife was seen in Wascana Centre enjoying the sunshine like as Canadian geese and ducks in puddles.
Scott went for a walk with his family to soak in the relative warmth and said he’s happy spring has finally made an appearance.
“We can take off our snow boots and walk around and not have to worry about slipping on the ice and get out and actually have running shoes on and actually go for a walk,” he said.
Scott is not the only one to feel this way.
Tom was walking around Wascana Centre and said he’s happy he doesn’t have to wear the winter gear anymore.
“I’m getting tired of wearing on putting on the big boots and pants,” he said.
Tom also said he’s excited to see the birds and people outside enjoying the weather.
As for Scott, he feels Regina got lucky in January when it comes to the winter.
“We paid for it in March and April with it being a little chillier,” he said.
Meanwhile, Maureen who was visiting from Big River said she didn’t feel like the winter was prolonged because she kept busy. But she also said she’s excited for spring.
“I (came) to spend the weekend with my grandkids, it’s fantastic especially on this nice day,” she said.
Maureen added she’s looking forward to camping and having fun outside.
