Due to localized flooding, the City of Moose Jaw has officially closed Fourth Avenue Northwest between Thatcher Drive and Macdonald Street to traffic for safety concerns.
The Public Works department will continue to monitor the areas of Spring Creek that have overflowed, which has led to the closure of the above-mentioned section of Fourth Avenue.
Those who live or have a place of work in the affected area are permitted to enter where access is available via Fourth Avenue NW.
Thatcher Drive near the Iron Bridge entrance is also partially submerged by the water of Spring Creek. The city says Thatcher Drive is still passable by vehicles, but it’s encouraging drivers to slow down and exercise caution when water is present.
