8:30 – The Supreme Court of Canada said last week it won’t hear the appeal about expanding access to health care. This is being challenged in British Columbia that has the B.C.’s Medicare Protection Act which bans the use of private insurance to cover medically necessary procedures. Dr. Brian Day is CEO of the Cambie Surgery Centre and joins Gormley to explain how expanding health care access reduces the long wait lists every province is facing.

9:00- The Leader of the Federal NDP Jagemeet Singh is in Saskatoon today visiting the University of Saskatchewan college of Dentistry to discuss the new dental-care plan for Canadians. It was announced in the 2023 budget that $13 billion over the next five years will go to help expand the dental care program. Mr. Singh joins Gormley to discuss his visit and the expansion of dental-care for Canadians.
