After a chase of an extreme speeder in the city, Regina police are looking for the driver of an SUV.
According to the Regina Police Service’s traffic team on Twitter, just after midnight on Sunday, officers engaged with a 1995 Green Chevy Tahoe.
The tweet said the vehicle evaded police, disobeyed traffic signals, and sped “well above” 100 kilometres per hour on Albert Street, which has a speed limit of 50 km/h.
The vehicle went south of the city on Albert Street.
About an hour later, the account tweeted that police had confirmed the SUV was stolen. Late Monday morning, the account tweeted again that the SUV had been found outside the city.
The driver of the vehicle was described as a man with a baseball hat, glasses and arm tattoos.
The vehicle is confirmed stolen by the owner. Unsure who is driving. Please do not approach or attempt to follow. Just call local police or RCMP. https://t.co/oJific7MMi
