A 16-year-old girl was taken to a Regina hospital after a stabbing early Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded just before 3 a.m., to the 1100 block of Rae Street for a call about a weapons offence.
When they arrived, officers found the victim, who had been stabbed. She was taken to hospital by paramedics.
The police investigation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man, who was found in the 1400 block of Robinson Street. He was charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a release order.
The man made his first court appearance Tuesday.
