The Regina Police Service used one of their canines to catch a 17-year-old they’ve charged with two break-ins.
Both break and enters happened at homes in the northwest part of Regina, near Coldwell Road and MacLean Street, early Friday morning.
The first happened around 6 a.m., where a cell phone and vehicle keys were reported stolen.
Less than an hour later, police responded to another break and enter in the same area on Coldwell Road. In a news release, Regina police reported that officers saw the suspect, who then tried to run away through yards.
A police dog found the youth hiding in a yard.
The 17-year-old is facing four charges, including two for the break-ins.
He made his first court appearance in Regina’s provincial court at 2 p.m. on May 12.
