Another parcel of land at the Global Transportation Hub outside of Regina has been sold.
According to the provincial government, trucking company 4Tracks Ltd. has bought 15 acres of land at the GTH, where it will build a 16,740-square-foot office, a warehouse and a wash bay facility this summer. The company is expected to invest more than $8 million into the project.
The latest sale means 278.8 acres have been sold at the GTH since March 31, 2022. In total, 1,005.2 acres have been sold by the GTH since its inception, while 502 acres remain for sale; the remainder of the 1,871 acres at the GTH is dedicated to infrastructure.
The government said more than 350 acres of land at the GTH are actively being developed, including the construction of the Cargill canola crushing plant and SaskPower’s logistics warehouse project.
4Tracks Ltd. employs more than 350 people and operates one of the largest fleets of trucks and trailers in Western Canada. The company began operating in Regina in 2008.
“We welcome 4Track’s investment and are pleased to see continued growth at the GTH, which supports job growth in the province,” Lori Carr, the provincial minister responsible for the GTH, said in a media release. “As activity continues to pick up at the GTH, I look forward to more announcements in the coming months.”
