The Pasqua Street Bridge over Wascana Creek is about to be out of commission for around three months.
According to the city, on Tuesday at 7 a.m., crews will start repairing the bridge. The duration of the repairs depends on the weather, the city said.
Traffic heading in both directions will be detoured at Pasqua Street between 17th Avenue and 15th Avenue.
“This rehabilitation work will extend the lifecycle of the structure for another 25 years,” the city said, noting the bridge was built in 1959 and last rehabilitated in 1995.
Crews have been working on projects around the city since construction season began, with a number of major roads — including McCarthy Boulevard, Albert Street, Winnipeg Street and 11th Avenue — being affected.
