That special, hours-long live coverage, which culminated in an RCMP news conference, has resulted in 980 CJME being recognized with two nominations for awards for outstanding journalism in the prairie region.
The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has shortlisted 980 CJME for Best Newscast and Breaking News.
980 CJME is also nominated for a third award in the Feature News for Lisa Schick’s story of a man fighting for insurance legislation changes.
