Work is scheduled to begin Sunday evening on a stretch of Lewvan Drive that will result in the closure of a major route from into Regina’s downtown.
According to the City of Regina, the work in the northbound lanes of Lewvan between 13th Avenue and 11th Avenue is to include intersection improvements at Lewvan and Saskatchewan Drive.
“There will be no access on or off Saskatchewan Drive at Lewvan Drive, with the exception of westbound traffic on Saskatchewan Drive turning north onto Lewvan Drive,” the city said in a release.
“Two-way traffic will always be maintained on Lewvan Drive in the southbound lanes, but drivers should anticipate delays.”
The city said the work is expected to take about six weeks to complete, weather dependent.
