People living in a northern Saskatchewan community who were just returning home after a wildfire evacuation are packing their bags to leave again.
An administrator with Michel Village confirmed the northern hamlet received its second evacuation alert Tuesday, and officials there are in the process of declaring a state of emergency.
She said the community is currently surrounded by wildfires, with the closest only about a kilometre away.
The administrator said she was also heading home to pack her own bag and leave the community for her safety.
650 CKOM has also reached out to the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency for more details about the situation.
More to come.
