Coun. Andrew Stevens is expected to learn his fate at Wednesday’s city council meeting.
Councillors are expected to discuss whether to censure or reprimand Stevens for sharing a confidential report with his council colleagues, the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting said.
It also appears they could ask Stevens to provide a written apology to Coun. Terina Nelson, the one who brought the matter to Integrity Commissioner Angela Kruk.
Stevens has previously said he accidentally clicked the “reply all” button when responding to an email with the confidential report attached to it.
That action resulted in the report being sent to other members of city council, the acting city clerk, the acting city manager and the city solicitor.
“This is going to be one of the most expensive ‘reply all’ mistakes in human history,” he added.
As for the written apology, Stevens said he doesn’t issue fake apologies.
“I only issue sincere apologies,” he added. “I’m not going to give what I would call an ‘Experience Regina apology,’ which is ‘sorry, not so sorry.'”
