An Amber Alert issued Friday morning has been cancelled.
The alert was issued just after 11 a.m. on behalf of the Battlefords RCMP. It said the children had last been seen with their mother Thursday evening in North Battleford.
In a media release at about 12:45 p.m., the RCMP said the seven-year-old girl and eight-year-old boy at the centre of the alert had been located safe at a residence on Mosquito, Grizzly Bear’s Head, Lean Man First Nation.
The First Nation is about six kilometres south of North Battleford.
The Mounties said the children’s mother was in police custody.
The RCMP said updates would be provided when more information was available.
