A new trail at Wascana Trails has been designed to help people with limited mobility enjoy nature.
In a media release Monday, the Saskatchewan government announced the opening of the Wildflower Trail at the recreation site east of Regina.
“The wide, hard-packed trail has a low grade to provide an inclusive trail experience for a large variety of users,” the release said. “It was created in partnership with the Saskatchewan Trails Association and the Trans Canada Trail Association and improves accessibility for all users, regardless of ability, age or mobility.”
The government said the recreation site also has upgraded trailheads and signage, a bicycle repair station and a trail map.
