10:00 – As we still see the cost of food rising, the debate on how to battle food inflation continues. A report from The Standing Committee on Agri-Food and Agriculture in Ottawa has recently published called “Grocery Affordability: Examining Rising Food Costs in Canada,” has 13 recommendations to help with food inflation. Sylvain Charlebois is a food distribution and policy professor at Dalhousie University Agri-Food Analytics Lab and joins Gormley to discuss whether these recommendations might not go far enough and do more harm than good.

11:00 – All eyes are on Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino as questions arise about his handling of the transfer of Paul Bernardo, along with avoiding questions from the opposition in the House of Commons. Tom Korski, the managing editor for Blacklock’s Reporter in Ottawa, joins Gormley to discuss when Trudeau might step in and relieve Mendicino from his position.
