A driver who was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on Monday has been issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m., at the intersection of 25th Avenue and Albert Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found an injured, elderly woman who had been hit by a van at what police called “a low rate of speed.”
The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the van remained at the scene.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation.
