People in Prince Albert had to hunker indoors to escape a storm that battered the city Sunday afternoon.
At around 3:17 p.m. , Environment Canada issued a Severe thunderstorm warning for the area. Not long after heavy rain started to fall, quickly followed by hail and strong winds.
Some areas of the city reported marble sized hail that turned green lawns into winter-like scenes.

Saskatchewan storm chaser Shawn Hradac-Bayko watched the storm unfold on radar.
โThey were calling for thunderstorms all afternoon, then it started to cloud over and getting dark and then next thing I look at my storm radar and we were in the red for severe thunderstorm watches and warnings,โ he said. โNext thing I know we were getting hit with pea size and dime sized hail and it was one storm after another. Never experienced three long hail storms in a row.โ
Thunderstorm watches were also in effect Sunday for Saskatoon, Llydminister and the Battlefords.
