Anglers in Saskatchewan soon can try their luck for free.
The provincial government announced Monday the annual summer free fishing weekend is set for July 8-9, when people can fish on all of Saskatchewan’s public waters without a licence.
Limits and all other fishing regulations are in effect. Anglers who want to take fish out of Saskatchewan must purchase a licence.
Free fishing weekend doesn’t apply in the province’s national parks.
More information about fishing in Saskatchewan can be found in the Saskatchewan Anglers Guide on the government’s website.
