Two Regina men are facing murder charges in connection with the city’s first homicide of 2023.
On Feb. 9, police were called to a home on Garnet Street after receiving a report of an injured person. Despite first aid from police and paramedics, 36-year-old Patrick Badger of Regina was pronounced dead.
“Information received was that a male was the victim of an apparent overdose,” police said in a statement.
“Further investigation into the circumstances of the death determined it to be a homicide.”
After an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit, two men are facing charges.
Police said Peter Anthony Sheepskin, 46, and Darien Toto, 25, are both charged with second-degree murder.
They made their first court appearances Friday morning, police said.
