A 29-year-old Prince Albert man is facing a long list of charges after a truck disappeared and crashed several days later in Warman.
In a news release, RCMP said the truck was initially reported stolen in Prince Albert on Tuesday. Then, on Thursday afternoon, Saskatoon Police told Warman RCMP a truck involved in a theft in Saskatoon was headed their way.
A short time after that, police received several reports of a vehicle driving dangerously between Martensville and Warman. Then officers were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Central Street and 4th Avenue in Warman.
Witnesses described one vehicle landing on its roof.
Police said the stolen truck was involved.
Officers believe the man driving the truck got out and assaulted the driver of another vehicle he wanted access to.
The truck was searched and police found 45 grams of crystal meth and 20 grams of cocaine.
Theron Owens faces several charges, including assault, robbery and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He also faces several drug-related charges.
Owens is set to be in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday.
