Regina police have arrested a man who allegedly was carrying a shotgun in his backpack.
On Friday at 10:35 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Badham Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person in the area. Upon arrival, police spoke to a male and located a shotgun in the male’s backpack. The male was arrested without incident.
A 36-year-old Regina man is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
He’s to make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
