While most Queen City residents had their lights off, two detached garages were certainly lighting things up.
Regina Fire and Protective Services said Monday a detached garage caught fire in the 1200 block of Argyle Street right after midnight.
The fire department said the garage was completely destroyed and the adjacent one got damaged.
It also said almost 2 1/2 hours later, there was another garage fire in the 1900 block of Quebec Street.
Both fires resulted in no injuries and nobody was displaced because of them, Regina Fire and Protective Services added.
It said it does not believe the two fires are connected at the time of publication, but added they’re both under investigation.
