Regina’s SWAT team is going to be busy Wednesday.
The Regina Police Service sent out an advisory saying the Special Weapons and Tactics team will be doing scenario training at different locations in the North Central Regina neighbourhood. The training is to begin at 1:30 p.m.
“Members of the public can expect to see SWAT team members and associated vehicles in the area,” the advisory said. “The public is not involved in the training nor will the public be at risk from the training.
“Training activities will be limited to specific locations. Residents in the immediate vicinity of the training sites will be notified.”
