Southern Saskatchewan is heading back into a heat wave.
Environment Canada issued a heat warning Thursday for communities southwest of Regina, including Moose Jaw and Swift Current.
The weather agency says thanks to a hot airmass pushing into that area of the province, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s C during the day Thursday and cooling down into the mid- to upper teens overnight.
Daytime highs on Friday are expected to be in the low 30s, but are a bit more uncertain as a cold front will be sweeping through the area later in the day.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
More advice on how to manage the heat can be found on the Environment and Climate Change Canada website.
