The Saskatchewan Roughriders are in action at Mosaic Stadium tonight, when they take on the visiting B.C. Lions.
Quarterback Jake Dolegala will be leading the Riders’ offence due to injuries to Trevor Harris and Mason Fine. It’s Dolegala’s first start since July 24 of last season, when Saskatchewan was dealing with a COVID outbreak.
So far this season, Dolegala has thrown for 207 yards and a touchdown.
But while the Riders are burning through quarterbacks at a rapid pace, one of the team’s stars could be ready to rejoin the Green and White on the field. Receiver Kian Schaffer-Baker has been practising with the team this week, and could be ready to make his return in tonight’s game.
Schaffer-Baker had hip surgery during the off-season, and says he’s taking a careful approach to his return.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
Before kickoff, join the Green Zone Game Day crew of Jamie Nye, Darrell Davis and Belton Johnson, along with Rider reporter Britton Gray, for coverage and analysis on the pre-game show. That show starts at 3 p.m. and can be heard here.
After the final whistle, tune in to the Green Zone post-game show, and join the conversation by calling 1-877-332-8255.
