A Regina man is accused of possessing child pornography.
According to police, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit started an online investigation into child pornography in April, and on Wednesday the team executed a search warrant at a Regina home, where electronics were seized.
As a result, 33-year-old Kirk Andrew Custer was charged with a single count of possession of child pornography. Police said Custer was released “on numerous conditions” in advance of a court appearance in November, police said.
The Internet Child Exploitation Unit – which investigates online crimes involving the abuse or exploitation of minors – includes officers from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service.
