Friends, family, and fans are all invited to attend a celebration of life service in memory of George Reed.
On Friday, Oct. 6, a service will be held to remember number 34 at the Viterra International Trade Centre on the grounds of the REAL District.
Doors will open at 11;30 a.m., then the service will run from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m.
The service will be livestreamed and more details are expected before Friday on how to access the stream.
The team is encouraging people attending to wear their best Roughrider green.
Reed died at 83 — one day short of his 84 birthday — on Sunday. Reed is remembered as one of the leading CFL running backs, with 16,116 rushing yards and 134 career rushing touchdowns.
Reed’s talents went beyond the field, being an active community member and supporting various charity organizations.
