A 48-year-old man is to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Monday to face a charge of second-degree murder in relation to the death of a 61-year-old man on Saturday. (980 CJME file photo)
Regina police said Roy Julius Dennis Sayer had been arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree murder. He was to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Monday.
Police responded to the 1900 block of Montreal Street shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Saturday for a call about an injured man lying outside a house. Officers and paramedics found the man, who was badly hurt.
The victim, a 61-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police didn’t say what kind of injuries the man had sustained, nor did they release his name.
