Two people were killed and three other people were hurt Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash west of Fort Qu’Appelle.
According to a release from the RCMP, the crash happened at around 7:50 p.m., on Highway 10.
The drivers of the two vehicles — an 83-year-old woman from Yorkton and a 53-year-old man from Lestock — were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
There were three passengers in the Lestock man’s car. One was taken to hospital with injuries the Mounties called “serious,” while the other two went to hospital with injuries that police described as “non-life-threatening.”
Highway 10 was closed during the investigation, but reopened early Wednesday morning. The Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist are probing the crash.
