A 29-year-old from Calgary is facing charges for a hit-and-run that killed a 25-year-old woman.
Regina Police Service officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Rae Street on Dec. 2 around 1 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman lying on the ground at the entrance to an alley. EMS arrived and transported the injured woman to the hospital. She later died as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene, according to police. Officers investigating the incident were led to Calgary and arrested Victoria Redwood on Dec. 22.
She has been charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death.
Redwood appeared in Regina Provincial Court for the first time on Dec. 27 at 9:30 a.m.
